Hello,

Problem: When my Crystal 8.5 report is executed via Web using Web Component Server I get prompted to enter the User Id and Password? I am using a System DSN that uses a general login that does not have a password.

This problem was in a previous post, and a FAQ. They suggested to change the page server and job server properties to run under a user account in the domain. Where do I change the page/job server properties? What do I change? Within the Crystal Management Console for Crystal Enterprise 8.0 Standard I do not see any properties to set? Some insight into what/where to check would be of great help!

Thanks,

Darlene

Open Services (Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services)

Click Crystal APS | Logon and change the logon information to run in SYSTEM A/C or user A/C.

Still confused...

Dialog is set to "local System Acct" (radio button selected). Am I supposed to setup another user? Why does a report without parameter work?

Thanks again,

Darlene

You may have to stop the page/job server services to change the logon credentials from LocalSystem.
