Blank data excludes entire line from report

I am running an order confirmation report. It came out perfectly until I had to add a field for Hazmat. If the item is flagged has hazardous I need that info (hazmat code, description,etc) to show under the line item on the confirmation. As soon as I add that field (or any of the hazmat fields) it take the report down to ONLY those hazmat items instead of all the items. If I remove the hazmat field(s) then all the items come back on the confirmation. Its like I need to tell it that it Haz_Code is blank, then its blank. If it has data to print data. It shouldn't exclude any items just b/c they are not hazardous.

how many tables are you using.. It sounds like you need to do a left outer join from one table to your table which includes the hazmat information.

go to your database expert... right click the link to your table containing hazmat info and select link options

then select Left outer join under Join Type

That didn't work. I have 6 tables. The one table "ITEM" has the Hazmat code and I'm linking that to the "HAZ" table to get the hazmat description. I did the left outer join. Do I need to enforce the join? I'm not familiar with how the joins work.

there is another table that "ITEM" is linked to? thats the one that needs the left outer join.
