Very important question that I seem unable to get an answer to:-

When running 2 IGESMs on a BladeCenter, is 1 ESM shutdown while the other is active, so that there is redundancy, or are they both active at the same time.

If they are both active at the same time then this will cause an STP error??????

Thanks in advance

Apologies......I need to explain the above a bit better:-

We have a BladeCenter with 2 Cisco IGESM installed. Because this BladeCenter is being used in an E-commerce environment we need to seperate the Management VLAN from the Data VLAN and have them on seperate interfaces.
From an external perspective, this is not a problem as you have 4 ports on the IGESM but internally this then goes down to 1 port at the blade server. This does not keep the VLANs on seperate wires (which is requried). A way around this may be to have 1 VLAN going into 1 IGESM and the other VLAN into the other IGESM, but this will only work if both IGESMs are up and operational at the same time.

Desperate for help..... Thanks
