Hi All

Anyone know what the health led means when it turns amber?
It the led second form the top on a BL45p G1 server.
We had our motherboad changed after a crash and now the blade show this light - not sure what it means. I know there are three states - Good (Green) Degraded condition (Amber) and Critical (Red) - but I have no idea what this means. Our HP tech did not know either and said would check at the office - he came back and said a BIOS update might fix it - This is a standard line from HP when they want to waste time or are two busy to attend on-site.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

David

It could be something as simple as a loose cable or even a faulty power supply.

Check out page 91 of the attached link for tips (which is the HP Proliant BL45p Server Blade User Guide):

Thanks "The Lad"

I will get the HP guy back on site tomorrow. We have a VMWARE ESX server that just won't complete its boot. I am finding HP service is not what it used ot be here in Australia.
