Hi all,

when I press the Power switch on my Blade100,
more and more often,
it makes no "beep" sound, displays nothing on the screen
(the screen remains black), and the power led blinks just once, then led is off.
however, i can hear the fan spinning, and the CDROM is powered (eject button works)

2 days ago, after 6 attempts, could boot once:
(heard the "beep" sound, powerled was on, i could see messages on screen , i typed "boot" and it booted and worked ok.)

yesterday, after > 10 attempts, it booted

today: won't boot at all i think.

Anyone of you has already seen such a problem, any idea?

Thanks,
Edwin

I have had that problem with improper memory, or memory errors. It does exactly what you are saying.

Try changing out the memory.

Got Machine back from SUN, EPROM was reloaded,
then machine went ok through tests, now boots ok.

Thx
