Anyone know how to configure Exchange to use a DNS Blacklist like Spamhaus? I don't see any mechanism for referring to a blacklist in the IMS configuration.

I'm currently using Mail Essentials (on my SMTP relay server) for spam control, but frankly, it is insufficient for the task. It misses about 20% of the spam messages containing keywords it's supposed to pick up. And it doesn't let me configure a DNS blacklist reference either.

It's starting to look like I'll have to throw a linux box up as an SMTP relay beyond the mail essentials SMTP relay server, and use sendmail to consult spamhaus.

Surely there's a way to do this without having to be that drastic.

Any suggestions?

Know this was some time ago - but I am facing the same issue now. Were you able to get Spamhaus to work with Exchange? Or did you have to go the Linux route?
