Blackberry turns off automatically 1

Hi all,
I have a problem where the user's Blackberry will switch off automatically?
Sometimes after you restore power (take out battery and place it back), the device will show that the battery has run out even though before it switched off, battery was almost full?
Happens intermittently but at least once every 1 - 2 days.
Unit is running latest OS
whats even weirder, I backed up his BB and restored it onto another same model unit, upgraded the OS to the latest and the same problem occurred when I was activating his BB. It switched off...
I think this pretty much rules out hardware...
Any ideas?
we are using BES and device is curve 8300

Sounds to me like a battery issue. You should replace it for testing.

Thanks for the replies.
Indeed it was a battery issue, what i failed to indicate in my first post is that i tried two different batteries and the same problem happened.. one of the two also lasted longer than the other but both would just blank out within a day.. they were not new batteries but what are the chances of both batteries being crap..
i swapped another battery in for that user and things have been working fine since..
