Blackberry and .NET 1

I hope this is the best place to post this question...

Does anybody know if it is possible to develop a mobile application for the Blackberry phone (7100v) using the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework? My hunch is 'no', but just need someone to confirm it for me

Assuming it is no, would I be able to develop a solution using the Java SDK?

Creating a browser solution is not an option - unless the deveice can host it itself!

Pretty much all phones are MIDP complient... so you should be able to use that to create midlet's with 2way socket communication that will work on and java based device...
