I have a win2k laptop running RealVNC 4.1.

Whenever i connect to a machine on the same subnet as me i can connect fine, but if i go over my VPN tunnel to our head office, which is a different subnet, all i get is a black screen. But a person on the other end says they see the mouse moving but i get no display. If they connect to me, they can see my screen perfectly fine.

i have tried some of the solutions from RealVNC's website and nothing seems to work.

Has anyone run into this issue?

Thanks in advance

I have exactly the same problem, but don't know of a solution either.

is the vpn tunnel giving you an ip (dhcp enabled) on connection or are you static? trying to use your subnet to acces theirs?

i get my IP from the router that is connected to the server i login to, but the router knows where the other subnet is.

I have seen this problem before.
Try to use the tightvnc client to connect to teh server.
