Working on a friends computer, intermitant video loss to colored stripes now no video at all. It had on-board video card, so I tried hooking in a pci video card that works on other pc's. No picture, boot process can be heard in hard drive and cd-rom, no beeps, no sound of op sys booting. replaced motherboard used onboard video card on brand new motherboard no video, no beeps, no loading of operating system. Used multiple monitors that work on other pc's... Process of elemination has failed any ideas???...
Nothing but a black screen to work with, not even monitor connection error from monitor itself, when pluged into powered off pc, flash of one blue pixel dead center of any monitor.
XP operating system
motherboard-PC Chips, socket 754 M871G (V1.5)

Possibly the CMOS battery or the PSU. Change the battery first, if not try another PSU.

Which cables? If you are talking about monitor cables I have tried multiple monitors with each their own cable, I have tried a new motherboard. With in response to the other post had a brand new battery.

Does this sound like a ram problem? The only things that I transfered from the old motherboard was ram and the processor.

Try the RAM sticks in another system. If they work it could be the CPU. Do you get any post beeps at all? Also check that there isn't a BIOS reset jumper that is set incorrectly.
