I am looking to create an image that involves a room full of people under a black light. However I can not seem to figure out what (normal)colors will look like under the black light. I can't even seem to get white right. Does anyone out there know if there is a filter of some sort or a tutorial, or even just a color chart that says what normal color = blacklight color (I know this last one is just wishful thinking and probably doesn't exist). I have done some websearches and can't really find anything. I am looking for something that will allow me to create both normal and black light images in photoshop so I can take them and use them in a flash intro. So ANY help that you can supply would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Have you tried using lighting FX and changing the light to black? Never tried it myself but it may work. funkymonk B-)

I have not heard of Lighting FX. Is it a plugin addon or is it part of the original Adobe?

you might want to change the HUE/SATURATION to be a really light purple/red. That is the color under a black light. White looks-purple,
Black thread looks-red
Black material looks black, and bright green, yellow, red, and blue-look like neon flourenscent colors but with a slight purple tinge.

Try fooling around with the lighting effects to get the appearence of light shading, then messa rounf with the HUE-SATURATION, and then try messing around with the BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST setting. You also might want to try using the neon glow filter to get the color you want. [deejay]

Thank you, that is very helpful. I am a newbie to graphic art and don't really understand what colors give what effect yet. This is very very helpful.

Lighting Effects can be found under filters/render/lighting effects. funkymonk B-)

I'd also use lighting effects and hue/saturation alterations.

Play around, you'll learn more than any tutorial will ever teach you.

You might also play with blending modes, these can create stunning visual effects.
