Help...

I have a Crystal report with a couple of sub reports on it. On one particular PC the subreports come out as black boxes.

We've done all the obvious things - made sure the operating system and patches/crystal reports versions/MDAC_Type and DCOM/ etc etc etc are all identical to other machines where it works but no use.

Anyone seen this before? got any inspirations?

Cheers

Do your have any conditional formatting on this subreport, or on the sections of the subreport, or the section that the subreport is in.

If you create a color condtion formula without an "else", you can get black objects. Ken Hamady

Ken,

Nothing as simple as that.... there is no conditions or colours associated with this.

Any other thoughts??

Thanks

IF you double click on the object, it should go to the design tab. If you then click on the tool bar button for preview it should run just that subreport. Does it preview OK by itself? Ken Hamady

Hi

Panic Over.... I deleted all the controls in the offending are of the report and re-created them... and hey presto the problem was fixed.

Presumably an odd control character somewhere
