Hey everyone,

I have an app that works perfectly on my machine using IIS.

However, when I upload it to the server, for some bizarre reason, the server can't see one particular field in a table and gives me an error "Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal."

If I point the page at a different field in the same table, there are no problems. It only happens on this one field which is the record number/indexed/unique.

Yes, I have checked the database many, many, (TOO BLOODY MANY) times, the field is most definitely there.

I can't for the life of me figure why this could be happening. It seems like a problem with their server, but before I make that "suggestion" I thought I would check here.

Any ideas? Steve Davis

Sigh...found the problem.

The dimwits at the ISP made a copy of the database in a new directory and pointed the DSN there. Then when I made the changes and uploaded to where I THOUGHT the DSN was pointing...welll you can guess the rest. Steve Davis
