Bitmaps on console

I am writing a new console app. (DOS application.)
And I want to display a bitmap at the startup. Well at the current moment i am having to completely graph it out using MS Paint and the all american line(x1, y1, x2, y2); function. Is there anyway I can just make it show the actuall bitmap? My sources sure are getting cluttered lately. Any help apprecciated
