Hi,

I am a bit puzzled re: bitmap fills in Flash 5. I import a bitmap and use it as a fill through the fill panel, but sometimes the image in the fill is the same size as the original bitmap and sometimes the image is scaled down so much that it is impossible to recognize the original image. How can I control this?

hi

Make sure you break the bitmap apart first, to get the original size that is. If you don't break it apart first, it will remain as an icon-like tile.

There's also the transform modifier which appears at the bottom of the tool panel when you select the fill tool. You can use this to increase/decrease/csale/rotate any bitmap fills you have already created.

forgot to mention, as soon as you break it apart select the 'eyedropper' tool and select the bitmap you've just broken apart.
