My company has many stores with these phones and was trying to find out if there was a way to program the phones indiviually with certain numbers down the right side buttons?

Can you determine what Merlin System they are connected to?

Look at the "BOX" near where the phone lines come into the building. There should be several rather "FAT" wires plugged into a Grey and Black Box or maybe a big Cream Colored box.

These are VERY OLD PHONES, like 23 or more years old, and the Control units they are normally connected to are not supported by ANYONE.

However, once you know the System they are connected to, you might be able to get some info from Avaya.com, under documentation.

There is a switch on the left side, now it is in the center, pull it down to P
now you are in program mode
touch button ,that you wish to use
try *90 then the telephone # include 9 1 & area code if needed
if that doesn't work then try *21
try one number then return to center on the switch ,see what works
*90 is for classic merlin + 820 & 820D2
* 21 is for legend
when programed just touch the programed button it will turn on the speaker & dial out on the available line

I checked the other day, the labeling on the box states that we are using a Merlin Plus? system... Hope that helps will check about the P switch
