BIOSTAR M6V6Q VIDEO PROBLEM

I HAVE A ONBOARD VIDEO PROBLEM. I BOOT AND WHEN I GET TO WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE DESKTOP I GET A BLACK SCREEN, XP MUSIC, A GREEN LIGHT ON THE MONITOR BUT NO PICTURE. DOES THIS MOTHERBOARD HAVE ANY SPECIAL SETTINGS OR BUGS THAT NEED PATCHES? DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Has this motherboard been working with XP before?
If not it may not be compatable or the drivers that you have are out of date.
If you have an AGP slot on the board try installing an AGP graphics card. If you don't have AGP then use a PCI graphics card.
On board graphics are a very bad idea in my opinion, as they take up system memory. I always get motherboards without on board graphics for this reason.
