Bios Rom System Error

I just turned on my windows 2k professional desktop on a small network in the house and while trying to boot, the following errror appeared."BIOS ROM SYSTEM ERROR
Detecting Floopy Drive A media Insert system Disk and press enter."
Though from the booting devices, it is set up to boot from the hard drive so I was wondering why it was looking for the floopy drive.
By the way, the mother board is Gigabyte and the system is 5 years old. Any idea

Try a new CMOS battery & setup the BIOS again.
Before doing that, just go into the BIOS & see if the time & date are correct. If not it will be the battery.
