I have recently formatted a server and then rebooted. on reboot the server came back with with the error " disk boot failure- enter system disk and press enter".
On entering setup, the server cannot even recognise the hard drive.I have run all utilities available and aspi910u.sys and ispi610.sys are missing.
I have scoured the tek tips/ibm site for bios recovery and system manual all to no avail. Can anyone help??

The X200 came with either an IDE 20Gb or you could replace it with an Ultra SCSI. Which do you have? If you have the SCSI option, Insert the SEVERGUIDE CD and reboot. This will have the drivers for the SCSI card.
What are you trying to load on this machine?

I have the 18.2Gb Ultra Scsi option.
I have used the server guide as you would have thought they had some sort of recovery and gone through the whole setup. It get's so far as loading the o/s then fails when the setup cannot locate the hard drive.
I am trying to load nt4 sp6 but have w2k server available if only to get this sorted!

Insert the ServerGuide in another PC and create the SCSI driver disks for the SCSI Adapter. When you boot the NT4 CD
press F6 at the first blue screen(?) and manually add third party drivers. It will ask for the diskette. Make sure you select the correct one. This should solve the problem.

i have the same problem but on my pc it cannot find the files and it cannot identify my harddrive plz help
