Aria computer, onboard shared 32 meg S3 Savage graphics.
Motherboard = ACORP 7Kmm1

I tried to add an AGP card & could not get the system to reqognise it, I went in to the bios to see if there was anything in there that I could change. I went to the addvanced chipset features and enabled AGP master 1WS write and AGP master 1WS read. (Default is disabled) Now I can not get a signel to the monitor on either VGA port. (The motherboard or the AGP card I added) As I can not see anything on the monitor I can not change the settings back. Can anyone help me on this please?

Howdy:

Check your motherboard manual.. You will either have a jumper that you can use to reset your BIOS back to default or, you may have to pull the on-board battery for a few minutes.

In either case, BIOS should default.. Then you can go back in and put things back again.

Reset your CMOS. Look in your motherboard manual (or on the Web) for the jumper that resets your CMOS. Resetting the CMOS is easy.

Turn off the computer and unplug it from the wall (or turn off the switch on the power supply). Locate the jumper and set it according to the manual. Wait a couple seconds then return the jumper to its previous state. That's it.

If you cannot locate the jumper, you can try removing the battery on the motherboard for a minute or so. You may have to remove the battery for a couple minutes in case your motherboard uses capacitors to charge the CMOS even when the battery is removed. This is to allow you time to change the battery without losing your settings.

Thanks for that, had found the CMOS reset but did not work. Removed battery for 30 mins (just to be sure) and all back to normal now. Thanks for your help. I just need to work out how to get the computer to use the AGP card now instead of the onboard one

Howdy:

Put the AGP card in.. Go into BIOS and DISABLE ON-BOARD VIDEO !!

That's all there is to it !!

The computer is from ARIA, the motherboard is - Socket A
MBD-ACP-7KMM1 and I am trying to put a geforce2 mx 32mb AGP card in it but the computer (that should auto recognise it) does not. There is no feature in the bios to disable the oboard video.
Have E mailed ARIA, just waiting for a response now, unless any of you can help me here?

hi
i would figure if they gave you an agp slot you should be able to disable it... mabe it's a jumper on the motherboard..
