Can anyone help please!

I have a PC which I am trying to install Windows XP. The PC boots from the CD, and the install starts OK. When the CD has copied the files to the hard drive, set-up reboots the pc, but then the pc won't boot from the hard drive.

I've tried changing the boot order, but this doesn't work. Running a repair from the XP CD, I can see the drive, and all the files, but it just won't boot!

Could it be that the master/slave jumpers are misconfigured?!?

does the bios have a virus checker enabled? If so, disable it.
