BIOS Check Without Restart?

Does anyone know of a way to check BIOS without restarting a Windows 2000 computer? Net Mgr wants to make sure auto restart on power up is set before running UPS testing. There doesn't appear to be a "native" way of doing it, but maybe a third party utility? "The worst dilemmas are often the best opportunities in disguise."
