Hi all,

I am running redhat4 enterprise on an ibm3550 with 2 x cpu and 2 x nic.
I have been asked to bind each nic to one cpu.

Unfortunately I don't go on my redhat course till next week.
Anyone care to help me with this?

Thanks

I have figured it out.

/proc/irq/**/smp_affinity.

If anyone is interested...

No, but it is fascinating.. why did they want it in the first place? :)

To ensure that TCP and UDP requests are handled by the same cpu for consistency.
This is for a market data system.
