Hello,

We have an hp server with 2 x quad nics. Is it possible to bind four of the nics to a single ip address and connect them to one switch and bind the other four with another ip address and connect that to another switch for resiliency ?

How can we do this and what version of HP-UX is required ?

TIA

You can have more than one interface with the same IP, but you need a software from HP (Sorry, I don't remember the name, nut i'm looking for it, I'll let you know as soon as I found it) and a ethernet switch that allow trunk.

Hope this helps you.

Why do we need to setup trunks on the switches ?
