i want to know before i go download BIND if it is already available in a pre-compiled form for apache.
that would be great if it is, not so great if it's not.

if it's not available, a second question...
is the internet systems consortium the best place to download BIND? if there are any newer versions i should know about,t hat would be rather helpful too.
any help would be great.
and if you were wondering, yes i'm new at DNS servers.
thanks in advance.

BIND and Apache aren't related in any way.

isc.org is the authoritative location for BIND. Personally, I'd install the one that's included with your distribution.
