Bind failed to start even because a single format error in zone file

Bind failed to start even because a single format error in zone file. How to instruct bind to continue to startup ignoring the error. A format error in zone file is not fatal.

actually it is fatal. The app wont start. The failure will tell you where the error is.

Yeah, it should give you the line number where the problem occurred. Look at [tt]/var/log/messages[/tt] for starters.
