Hi,
I would like to set up a local DNS server using BIND. I have a dialup connection to the internet using pppd on the same box I want to run DNS on. Basically I just want to have a caching DNS server and be able to direct my workstations to my local DNS server.
The problem I am having is that after using Webmin to configure BIND, upon checking the logs, there are syntax errors in the named.conf file. In addition, although I can get the BIND server to resolve local addresses, it is not properly forwarding requests to my ISP's DNS servers. Anybody know of a quick and dirty way to get BIND working in this fashion? I am using BIND 8.
