Hello,
Hopefully someone could help. We have a DNS load balancer that runs BIND 9.6-ESV-R4-P1 in the background. Intermittently it seems to stop returning IP addresses for the requested A-Record (doing a tcpdump we can see the DNS request come in and the load balancer replying but without an IP address).
Strangely doing a dig from a Linux box works every time but an NSLookup from a windows box is more intermittent (though this could be coincidence).
Does anyone have any ideas how I could troubleshoot this or if you have seen a similar problem before? (Please note that I have no root access as the Virtual Appliance / BIND back end is wrapped up in a GUI)
Any help much appreciated!!
Peter
