That depends a great deal on how your binary file is formatted and what you wanted to get out of it. There is a command called [tt]od[/tt] (for Octal Dump) that can convert binary files to their ASCII representations. See the man page.
Also, if you're just looking for ASCII text within a binary file, the command [tt]strings[/tt] can give you that.
Otherwise, it depends a great deal on the format of your binary file. I'd need to know more about that.
