Binary characters in tinytext field

When passing character such as ( it is being stored as %28. so are all non alphabetical characters, i.e ,.@#$% etc..

sorry got u now it was because the ( was not in "(" , does this happen in every field or just certain types?

thanks for the reply. I am [arsing the query string passed from a form. When i do that spaces are passed as "+" and special characters "(" as %28. I think I can work around it by not parsing the query string, but just refer to the text form name.
 
hmm thats a strange one but i think i have seen it before, r u using a Linux/Unix OS

Yes it is, I have not quite figured it out, but like I said think I can work around it. I am using a webhosting service Altercom and they are running Linux probably Unix OS
