We are using ArcServer Brightstore9 on a Win2K SP3 server and are backing up Windows and Unix machines. The unix (SGI\IRIX) client on one of the machines was inactive and our BU Admin had it re-activated. He then re-astablished a connection to it through the ROOT acount on the AS server. The backup ran that night. The next morning the SGI machine was inoperable. After working with SGI to recover, the tech said that the problem was that the BIN folder had been deleted. Is it possible that ArcServer Brightstore9 deleted this folder and all of its contents over night?
