We are infected with the bin.auto.bzv virus. Does anyone know what it does or how to get rid of it. A search of the AV sites turned up nothing. Norton Anti-virus picked it up and quaranteened it, but it won't clean it.

If nortons has quarantined it, then you aren't infected by it are you? Peter Meachem

Perhaps I should have written "newbie" on the subject line because I don't know if we're infected or not. Apologies for the error. I just wanted some help or clarification from folks I thought would help. I'll go to another tech board.
Thanks.

No need to be touchy.

I suppose someone has sent you the virus in an email or something. If Nortons has quarantined it, then you don't have it. Otherwise there wouldn't be any point in having an av programme. Run a scan to make sure you don't have any other copies. Peter Meachem
