Big troubles in Little PABX Mystery

dear all,

the following problems occured at the same time from the same LIM:

1. group hunts not working (showing vacant number)both programed on LIM1
2. calls to centralised operator from another site not going (tie-line between the 2 PABXes on LIM 1)
3. Onebox voicemail not responding properly (Connected to NIU on LIM1)
4. calls to another PABX (with tie-line on LIM1)not going through.

all the above problems were cleared by command BLLTE:LIM=1, allfm=yes.

Can any one explain why all these would happen the same time?

You must first check the alarms log to see if there has been any sort of disturbance. Next you should look throught the history log (HIEDP and HIMDP) to see if there have been any program units with a lot of lost signals. This will show you if there is a PU that is unstable. Clear the history logs (HIREI) and then do HIEDP and HIMDP again. If the same PU shows lots more errors then it maybe time to restart the unit(make sure you know what function it handles first, this is a dangerous procedure which could restart the whole PBX).

If in doubt, consult your PBX maintainer.
