Big brother and Attachments.

Morning all,

I was wondering if there was any way to save a copy of all outgoing attachments for weekly review. Or if there is a way to set-up a rule/event/alert/probe to monitor these outgoing attachments. Basically, our company wants to review non work related attachments as we are having a big problem stopping virus's and offesive mail.

I would be looking at a product like Trend ScanMail. This will let you block certain file types and also scan attachments for virus's

Thank you for your response, I am aware of a lot of 3rd party products i.e. trend scanmail, mimesweeper ect, but for the moment we are looking for the most cost effective solution. Budgets are tight and the boss is hoping to find a domino solution. 3rd party products are a last resort.

I could be an idea to take a look at Notes & Domino 6.

One of the features (one of many) is "mail rules" in the configuration document, where you can control both incoming and outgoing mail. You can journal, move to database, don't accept, don't deliver or change routing state on any message. It's a pretty neat feature!
