Hello...used Access in the past but because I have not used it recently I am stumped.

Where I work has an access database used to pull data from our SQL server. We changed servers now and now I keep getting ODBC connect "DSN name" failed.

I am so lost on how to fix it. If I could get step by step instructions I would be greatful.

THank you!!!

At the very least you neeed to build a new ODBC connection string for your tables... In case there is more, make a backup first so we can look back later.

The easiest way...

Assuming you know what the server and database is, go into the Linked Table Manager (in Access 2003 that is Tools menu, Database Utilities, Linked Table manager).

Hit the select all button, hit ok. You will now be able to select an ODBC DSN or make one... You will probably need to make one so hit new and go through the wizard.

Assuming tables is the only way ODBC is used, this should fix the problem... There are also SQL Pass Through queries and recordsets that could conceivably need to be touched. But start here and see if it works.
