BIDS Report Wizard Freeze

I am using the Business Intelligence Design Studio version of Visual Studio. When I add a new report item and the report wizard opens:

1. I create the connection to the local copy of the database I am using
2. I paste the query I am using into the query window
Then it freezes and goes into "Not Responding" mode

The query is good as I run it just fine in SQL Server Management Studio.

Any ideas as to why the Report wizard freezes after I paste in the query? FYI - I did not add any report parameters.

Maybe the credentials in the connection don't give permsission to the objects in the database being referenced?
