I have a question regarding Private AS Numbers, basically anyone can use them for their own internal organization? are they basically the same in terms of private ip addresses? And what are the consequences of not removing the private as's ( remove-private-as ), only thing I can think of is PATH confusion.

TIA

if you are going to use a private AS your isp will have as-override on your neigbor statement so that the internet bgp routers wont drop your traffic.

obviosuly its somthing you will need to configure with them as their neighbor statements with you will require them knowing the AS your using. they may also filter based on As numbers.
