I recently switched video cards: Uninstalled the old drivers (add/remove programs), powered off, switched cards, booted up, installed new drivers. (tested Nvidia's 61.77 & 66.93)

It runs fine, movies run fine... until I play a game. It'll be around 20-24 FPS, consistantly. This happens with newer games like World of WarCraft, and older ones like Quake III and Neverwinter Nights. Changine the resolution and video settings have a small effect on the frame rate.

Again, the card is a BFG Asylum FX 5200 256MB (Overclocked addition)

System:
AMD Athlon 2100+ (1.73mhz)
1 GB DDR RAM
80 GB SATA
ASUS A7VX8 KT400 - Socket A MoBo (latest BIOS: 1014)

Even if the card is an overclocked BFG Asylum it is still an FX5200 GPU.
As you know the 5200 is Nvidia's entry level FX card and not really capable of good frame rates with newer games.
Backed up by a 3 year old XP2.1+ Palomino on a via chipset KT400a, performance is going to be adequate at best.
Not anchient by any means and still a very useable specification but if you want more from your machine it might be time to upgrade.
