Hi Folks,

can anyone give me some guidance on dealing with .bff files, please? I've installed APARs before but never these creatures. What's the difference and how to use smit to apply them would be great. TIA.

Put them in /usr/sys/inst.images. Remove any .toc files that are already there and use smit to install - just point it to the directory and you will get a list of the software you are able to install

Or put them in any directory you like, remove any .toc files and use "smitty install_package", which will prompt you for the directory and generate a new toc automagically.
