Bexec 8.6 & Oracle

Anyone have installed Backup Agent for oracle in order to protect a database server version 8.1.7 ?

Yes I have installed Veritas Oracle agent(BE 8.6) on one machine to protect Oracle 8.1.7 database on another machine.
Are you just wondering or having some problems.

Hi Marek.

I was only afraid because in the compatibility matrix in veritas's support site is mentioned only oracle 8.1.6.
I have ask to my veritas rappresentative too. The rapresentative tell me there are no problems with 8.1.7.

Now i will install the agent next days.
I hope all will work fine.

I am having problems with 8i Oracle.

The Oracle agent on the Backup Exec server is seeing and connecting to the Oracle Agent on the database server. The Agent on the DB Server ISN'T connecting properly to the database even they are both on the same box.

Any advice, you can give me, I will greatly appreciate.
