BEX through the DMZ on in it?

Hi we are currently redesigning our backup strategy by moving to BEx9.1 and hopefully just 1 media source.

We currently have about a dozen or so DMZ servers that get backed up on their own BEX with their own library.

I would like to manage one strategy and do this through the DMZ, but our firewall engineer is sceptical. Is anyone else backing up through the firewall and what are your experiences?
