Hello,
I run BEWS 10d and with Exchange, SQL, CPS and DLO options.
Remote agents are installed on 1 Exchange server, 1 SQL server, 15 CPS clients, and 25 DLO clients.

My question is how do you manage hotfixes?
Do you install the hotfix as soon as after released?
And also on agents and clients?

Installing the hotfix on the media server is no problem.
But I have to upgrade agents and clients, that's headache always.

Thanks,
Yoshi

You only need to apply the hotfix/service packs to the media servers for the features that you are using. On average, this shouldn't be many... And yes, you have to push the agent again to the remote servers.. This updates the remote agent.

Backup Exec 11d has Live Update (from Norton AntiVirus) for HotFix/SP's on the media servers and it allows simultaneous remote installations. I love the GRT option (Granular Recovery Technology) for Exchange. I can restore individual emails...
