Indesign replaces the original "space" of any font by a standard space, which is usually too wide.
Is there a way to overrule Indesign here and use the originally carefully designed space of the typeface?

Create a character style. Window menu/Type & tables/Character styles

Hi jmgalvin, thanks for yr reply.
You probably suggest to set a char.style with a more narrow spacing and then apply this all the spaces in the text?
That could be a way that works. But what i am actually looking for is a way to really use the original designed space in the font, and not replacing it with an Indesign space..
Anyone knows how to?

You might check Preferences/Text and see if automaically use correct optical size is checked. If not, see if checking it helps. If it is checked, try unchecking it and see if you prefer that result.
