Best XML Parser and or Translator?

hi all,

well i am new to XML... and i have only read one O'reilly nutshell book on this topic...

can you point me in the right direction on what may be a good XML Parser and a XSLT Translator?

i think both of these tools are what is critical... correct? and if you have any good sites for tips and practice it would be appreciated...

There's no correct answer -- it depends on what language, toolset, and environment the program will be running in.

VB6/COM - use MSXML 4.0
.NET - use the one that comes with the framework
Java - No idea, but I'm sure there are plenty to choose from.

Do you want it cross platform or for a particular platform.

Windows only MSXML
Cross platform Xerces
