Let's say I have a 1 color logo, extremely detailed, layers upon endless layers.

It is currently setup all in black. Some of it is fill, and some of it is strokes, so I can't just select it all and change it over. The areas of the logo that should be transparent areas are all filled in whith white.

I need to change the black to yellow, and I need to change all the white background to blue. What would be the best, and quickest way to accomplish this in Illustrator or (I know this is the Illustrator forum), but Photoshop?

Double click the color swatch you want to change and change it. Check the "global" box to apply to all objects with that color.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

hi select one obeject with the color you want to change.

Got to menu Select > Same

and there you will find a lot of possibilities

another way of doing it in Illustrator

By the way going to photoshop would pixelate your logo, and you don't want that to happen.

You might also want to do Object/path/Outline stroke on your strokes.

After doing that, you can change the fill colour of the logo without getting strange fills in weird places.
