Best Way to Record Prompts i.e Sound Quality?

Hello, TekWorld.
Quick question! From everyones experience what is the best way to remotely record voice greetings onto the BCM50-400? Without compromising sound quality. I can't seem to get the same voice quality similar to recording onsite. The recording sounds distant and airy? Any suggestions?

Record it to a file then down load it to the BCM.

Agreed. By recording standard greetings on our in-house system I've deployed it this way to a large number of 400's

CAVEAT
Generally I've found a good .wav file for a 400 is not loud enough for a 450. Attempting to increase the volume of the 400 .wav file just increases the distortion when uploaded to a 450. We had to make separate recordings.
