Best way to migrate NT40 and Exchange55 to 2K3 Platform?

Good afternoon, and merry christmas!
I was hoping to catch up on some reading... I have been planning to migrate my NT40 and Exchange55 boxes for some time, I was wondering what the best way to do that would be? Should I bring all the NT40 users over first Or can I use the Active Directory Connector to achive the results that I need... Im not sure what I should do?

Exchange 5.5. will not run on Windows 2003. It will run on Windows 2000 at the latest. I would suggest looking at going to Exchange 2003 or higher.

Choices are huge.

Simple: exmerge. Build new AD. Import.
Easy: In place upgrade to Windows 2000 then Exchange 2000 then new Exchange 2007 then Ed Crowley the stores.
Complicated: Don't bother - see above
