I need to set up an email account that will be on 7 machines! All machines need to be identical.

There are

3 laptops (2 x running outlook 2003, 1 x 2007)
2 ipads
2 iphones

I used imap which seems to be working ok but can`t get the calendar to sync. The inbox and other folders are 1.5GB so it is quite big.

Is IMAP the way to go? In our hosting account I also have exchange as an option for email.

Thanks

I don't know how 'easy' exchange is to set up but its definitely going to make doing precisely what you want to do easier. It's one email account? with 1 password? Or is it just the calendar that needs to be shared?

Yep just 1 email account that needs to be replicated across all those machines so that everyone sees the same thing. They basically have machines at several places i.e. one at home, one in one office, one in another office etc and want to be able just sit at a different machine, ipad or phone and have all same email.

Exchange should handle it.

I have access to one exchange mailbox on a laptop, iPod and Android phone without any problems.
