Hello,

We are in the middle of some SEO and we have turned all of our dynamic pages into static html pages. All of the pages are unique and have good content but now I would like to get a good idea of how to make the folder of 50000 friendly for the bots to crawl.

Should I index the pages by item number and put the link on the sitemap? Example, "Item # 1 - 500"? List them by price, Items from "$500 - $1000", "$1001 - $1500"? or list them by quality "Fair", "Good", etc?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Chris,

Thanks very nuch for the reply. My customers actually use a search feature to find the item they are looking for. They have about 30 different ways to search. This is specifically to make it easy for the bots. Thanks.

I'm not even considering a site search once they have found your site.

It's what search phrases are used to find your site or the products your site sells in the search engines that is more important.

Chris.

Indifference will be the downfall of mankind, but who cares?

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Cheers Chris, now I understand. Sorry for the confusion.

We only sell one product but in various sizes and qualities but all 50,000 are unique. I think I'll index them by size and then quality.
