I don't think that anyone is receiving my response to their suggestions so I am submitting a new post. After reading the pros and cons of frames I am really discouraged with the design of my current FP web.I just don't know what the best way to start is. If you go to you will see what I am trying to do. This was my first attempt just using tables and inserting pictures, a navigation bar and marquee, but as soon as I modify one thing, the size of something else changes. I just need a site that has a header, navigation buttons, and marquee that never change size on all pages. A template. The area with the picture will change with a combination of text and picture on each page link. What format do you best recommend for this type of site, where resizing pictures or adding text wont be a problem. I know I will eventually get this right. Being disabled, I cannot attend a course for web design, but I am learning and getting better each day.

Please do not take this amiss, but you could stop pretending to be a beginner and go back to the advice you were given in September 2003 (thread253-635020). Stop using FrontPage and do it properly. There are plenty of tutorials around, and they were pointed out to you over 2 years ago. You were also shown how to get your site validated.

Remember this is a site for computer professionals and it's reasonable to expect professionals get past numpty stage in 2 years.

I appreciate your response. I did get so frustrated and gave up way back when. After 2 years I am trying again. I will certainly review those past recommendations of 2 years and try to learn on my own. Accept my apologies to all if I have caused any offense.

For all web developers without experiece the first steps are to learn HTML and CSS, once you have those under your belt then you can pretty much achieve anything as far as static sites are concerned.

Both are supprisingly easy to learn, but as reccomended by johwm, please dont use frontpage, you are alot better off using a text editor and hand coding things if you can afford a copy of DreamWeaver.

If you are developing your site for your own business and not looking to make a career in web development, then i would reccomend not spending the time to learn this stuff, simply employ a proffsional to do it for you.

Thank you for your advice. I am off to look for a good book in HTML and CSS. Wish me luck!!
Thanks again.
